Zebra Trains System ID on Barcode Label Materials

Zebra came in to SystemID, bringing a fabulous lunch, to train our sales team on Zebra supplies. It was an in-depth look at all the different materials Zebra has to offer for barcode labels.  Michael Santostefano, Supplies Guru and Account Management Rep for Zebra, gave the training. With all of the different applications out there, we learned how to find the right label that will work best for you. He taught our reps the importance of finding out the application, and refreshed us on the different types of materials available.
  • What environment will the label be in?
  • What is the label adhering to?
  • Is it outdoors or indoors?
  • Will it be exposed to any chemicals?
These are the questions our team will ask you when finding you the right label for your needs. You may think that the label is the last thing to worry about, but that is simply not true. A label by any other name, is not, just a label. There is more than just a paper label with permanent adhesive available. There is a whole world of synthetic materials out there that are used for barcode labels. For example, if you need something to withstand an outdoor environment for a year or two, you need a polypropylene label. However, if you need it to last up to 3 years, you need to step up to polyester. There are a multitude of adhesives available as well, from standard permanent, to security void, to high tack, to removable, just to name a few. This is merely the tip of the iceberg. It may seem overwhelming, but that’s what we are here for! To make your life easier. A few simple questions later, and our experts are getting you the label that will work best for your application.
